Xiaomi released the Xiaomi 12 series globally months ago. For some reason, though, the Xiaomi 12 Lite has remained unreleased, with leaks already revealing most details of the phone. A new video has now also shown the mid-range device being unboxed, revealing its design in full. 

The Xiaomi 12 Lite carries over the design of the other Xiaomi 12 series models, with a distinctive camera module featuring one main camera lens, and two vertically stacked lenses beneath it. The upcoming Xiaomi 12S and Xiaomi 12S Pro will also sport that design. 

Unlike the other Xiaomi 12 models, the Xiaomi 12 Lite has a completely flat, iPhone-esque sides. Xiaomi appears to be offering its mid-range phones with that form factor, as it's shared by the Redmi Note 10 series and Redmi K40S, while the more expensive Redmi K50, Redmi K50 Pro, and imminent Xiaomi 12S models feature curved edges.

The Xiaomi 12 Lite's packaging highlights a few other details of the phone, namely a 120 Hz AMOLED, 67 W charging, a "studio-level 108 MP triple camera", and a "featherweight slim design". That 108 MP camera is likely the ISOCELL HM2 on the Xiaomi 11T and Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G, though, so expectations should be tempered.
