Scarlet Witch Cosplay Blurs The Line Between Photography & Comics

In a stunning Scarlet Witch cosplay, the look blurs the line between comics and photography thanks to some great photo editing.

In a stunning Scarlet Witch cosplay blurring the line between photography and comic book art, @darkmattercos and @patloika team up for a breathtaking image showing off her incredible powers. The image recreates an iconic Wanda Maximoff-starring cover for the Trial of Magneto from artist Artgerm. The photo editing for the look is off the charts, as readers wouldn't blink an eye if it appeared on the front of a Marvel Comics story - it looks that good.

Scarlet Witch's classic costume is one of the best in comics, as her all-red ensemble gives her a look that matches her epic powers. The hero has had a few costume changes over the years. Still, the iconic outfit (designed by Jack Kirby) has continually returned in different Marvel Comics stories and showed its staying power. The red costume (with the red headpiece) appeared in the MCU in WandaVision, while a more modern take on the ensemble will also appear in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Scarlet Witch, played by Elizabeth Olsen, could serve as both antagonist and protagonist in the film.

On his Instagram page, photographer @patloika shared his collaboration with cosplayer @darkmattercos. The Scarlet Witch cosplay is fantastic, as the cosplayer gets all of the details regarding the hero's most iconic look right, including her red headpiece, costume, and cape. However, what makes the ensemble reach a new level (and it's already great) is Loika's photo editing. In recreating the Artgerm Scarlet Witch cover, he went all-out in making sure the hero looked magical, as you can see her powers in action, as the lighting and background make it look like an actual comic book cover.

@darkmattercos nails Scarlet Witch's classic costume, as it looks stunning and comic-accurate. @patloika's photo editing is, once again, entirely in a league of its own. With the cosplay image, they really went out of their way to show off her powers and recreate the original Artgerm cover. The Scarlet Witch image wouldn't look out of place on a Marvel Comics cover. Again, the cosplay and edit are stellar.

It's amazing to see how cosplayers and photographers can come together to create something that blurs the line between photography and comics in the best way possible. It makes for an image that needs to be seen. But with the stunning Scarlet Witch cosplay, @patloika and @darkmattercos brought the Marvel Comics hero to life in spectacular fashion.
