Councilman Jeffery George preceded over the grand opening celebration and ribbon-cutting of the new Green Eye - Midtown Optical, located at 2901 Arlington Loop on Friday, June 3rd at 11 AM.
The new Green Eye - Midtown Optical combines old-fashioned, hometown, friendly customer service with the latest eye care technology and a truly outstanding selection of eyeglass frames and contact lenses.
“We even offer a line of environmentally conscious fashion eyewear manufactured from recycled, reclaimed ocean plastics,” explains practice manager, Patty Orloff.
Tylertown native, Dr. Katie Edwards is the Doctor of Optometry at Green Eye. She specializes in performing comprehensive eye examinations, the fitting of contact lenses, including specialty lenses, and general eye care for patients with diabetes, glaucoma, dry eyes, and pre-surgical and post-
procedure management for patients with cataracts and those desiring vision correction procedures, such as LASIK and implantable contact lenses (ICLs).
“We are so excited to have our grand opening. It was a nice opportunity to meet members of the community who have yet to visit our new office,” explains Dr. Edwards, who completed her training at the University of Alabama Birmingham (UAB) and a post-graduate residency in ocular pathology at the VA Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.
